TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE

Augment your body’s healing capabilities

Osteopathic manipulative medicine is a holistic, hands-on treatment approach that includes an understanding that there is a close relationship between the structure and function of the body, that the body functions as a unit, and when the body has no restrictions, is capable of self-healing. Osteopathy focuses on freeing the body from restriction, strengthening the musculoskeletal system , reinforcing its relationship with the organs, improving the nervous, circulatory and lymphatic systems. This unique discipline focuses on treating the disease rather than simply the symptoms.

SEDENTARY LIVESTYLE

A sedentary lifestyle, predominantly sedentary work, improper exercise technique, overweight are some of the main reasons for the development of chronic pain in the spine

A sedentary lifestyle is dangerous at any age: impaired posture, blood circulation, decreased muscle tone, early development of cervical degeneration disk disease, cardiovascular system problems, obesity, diabetes mellitus - and this is not a complete list of diseases that lead to a "immobile" lifestyle.

When the first signs of impaired posture appear (one shoulder is higher than the other, the shoulder blades are at a different level in relation to the chest, asymmetrical folds at the waist, stoop, violation of the natural curves of the spine), the appearance of aching pains in the limbs, spine, frequent headaches and dizziness, it is necessary turn to professionals

SPORTS OR ACCIDENT INJURY

As a result of any injury, even a seemingly insignificant one, there is a loss of tissue mobility at the level of a joint, organ, ligament, etc. As a result, at this level, there is a violation of blood circulation and innervation. In addition, by contracting, spasmodic muscles and ligaments change the position of the internal organs, vertebrae and other bone structures supported by them.

This can lead to twisting vessels and nerves going to the organs, disruption of the communications passing by a number and the development of pathological changes in them.

The osteopath will restore the lost mobility in the joint, relieve shock and spasms from damaged tendons, ligaments, and muscles, and restore normal blood circulation. As a result, swelling and pain will be relieved.

PREGNANCY

Pregnancy is an important and crucial period in the life of an expectant mother. Many changes take place in the body, the load on organs and systems increases significantly. This process can affect your well-being in different ways and deliver a lot of new impressions, including not the most pleasant ones.

Pain in the joints and back, toxicosis, indigestion or sleep disorders - these symptoms are familiar to many women in anticipation of an addition. Fortunately, most of the ailments inherent in pregnancy can be removed or at least alleviated by an osteopath. The osteopathic effect is painless and very mild. In his work, the osteopath covers the entire body, eliminating specific problems and at the same time helping the pregnancy to proceed favourably in general.

POSTURE DISORDER

Posture disorders in children are common abnormalities caused by the curvature of the spine in the frontal and/or sagittal planes. Deformities are manifested in 2% of children at an early age (up to 3 years), and among older schoolchildren, more than 60% suffer from them. The causes are both congenital abnormalities and birth trauma. In the overwhelming majority of cases, we are faced with an acquired disorder of posture.

Their danger lies in the abnormal formation of the skeleton, due to which the load on the body is distributed unevenly, which entails increased wear and tear of the joints, displacement of bones, deviations in the development of internal organs. D Scoliosis, chronic back and neck pain, intervertebral hernia, degeneration disk disease are all the consequences of spinal deformities not eliminated in time.

At any age, posture disorders should be given the utmost attention, but it is especially important to do this in relation to children since his overall health depends on the correct formation of the child's skeleton. Moreover, it is quite easy to correct deviations with minimal intervention of an osteopathic specialist. The manual techniques he uses allow him to influence those points of the body that need it. This allows you to quickly achieve the desired result, restoring the equilibrium position of the bones of the child's skeleton.

ELDERLY OSTEOPATHY

As you know, diseases increase with age, and this often requires taking a significant amount of medication. At the same time, each medicine has its own side effects, and this leads to the emergence of more and more diseases, which also have to be treated. In addition, by acting on external manifestations, the medicine usually does not affect the causes of the disease. Where is the exit?

In such a situation, osteopathy becomes the method of choice. Most likely, it will not be able to completely replace the "classical" treatment, but it will help improve the quality of life. Identifying and addressing the causes of diseases helps to reduce the amount and dosage of drugs taken by the patient.

... Osteopathy is unlikely to be able to make the joints or the spine new, but it will help reduce the stress on the spine and joints, creating conditions for their self-healing. Elimination of chronic stresses and strains in the body helps to improve the sense of balance, prevents age-related deformities of the spine.

REVIEWS

Home: Testimonials

I've been having hip bone pain and lower back pain for almost two years after delivering my 2nd child, and finally decided to try Osteopath again since it helped me before. I'm very grateful to find Yuri's Osteopath and Massage services are like magic to me. Within two to three bi-weekly treatments my pain was completely gone, and I'm still coming here once a month for maintenance. Highly recommended, whether if you experience any body pain or just want to do yourself a treat!

Angie R.W

I was not sure what to expect. A friend referred me Osteopath to treat a frozen shoulder and hip pain. I was treated by Yury, he was outstanding. Spent time with me to really understand what was causing my pain. Taught me special stretches to help with flexibility and sent me home to additional home stretches to help further my recovery. I was so happy I booked my next appointment as soon as I got home. I will now add Osteo treatments to my overall wellness routine.

Michael F.

I came to Yury after several years of repeatedly getting injured from running and unsuccessful treatment from a variety of healthcare providers. Yury located the source of my foot injury upstream and worked to fix that underlying problem over a few treatments. After 5 years, I am now back to running, free of pain, tension, and worries.
